Catchment announced as Financial Review Sustainability Leader for 2026!

Catchment has been named one of the Financial Review Sustainability Leaders for 2026, presented by BDO Australia, and recognised as a finalist in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications category. What the recognition means for the teams we build for.

Catchment has been named one of the Financial Review Sustainability Leaders for 2026, presented by BDO Australia, and recognised as a finalist in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications category.

The Sustainability Leaders list recognises Australian organisations turning sustainability ambition into measurable impact. It is compiled by The Australian Financial Review with BDO Australia, who developed the methodology behind it and assess every submission against a common framework rather than against a narrative.

We are proud to be counted among them, and prouder still of what put us there.

What the recognition is for

Catchment exists because social, environmental and governance obligations on construction and infrastructure projects are real commitments made to real communities, and they are still too often reported from spreadsheets assembled at month end.

Our submission was not about our own footprint. It was about the measurable impact our customers create, and our part in making that impact provable. Participation hours captured at the source. Certified spend verified at entry rather than reconstructed at audit. Content origin traced as the data lands. Evidence attached to every figure, so a number holds up when someone asks where it came from.

That is the argument we have made since we started, and it is a good feeling to have it recognised by a methodology built to look past the narrative.

From SocialPro to Catchment

The recognition arrives in the same year we became Catchment. SocialPro began with social procurement reporting for construction and infrastructure, and it still does that work for more than $38.1 billion in quoted projects and over 1,000 suppliers.

Catchment is the broader platform that grew around it. EnviroTrack brings environmental performance into the same system of record, and GovAssure does the same for governance obligations. Three modules, one supply chain, one place the evidence lives.

A finalist placing in Technology, Media and Telecommunications is a useful signal that the approach holds up outside our own industry, judged against companies solving very different problems.

Thank you

Thank you to the contractors, consultants and suppliers who report through Catchment every month. The outcomes on that list are yours. We build the system of record, but the participation, the certified spend and the local content are created on your projects, by your teams and your supply chains.

Thank you also to The Australian Financial Review and to BDO Australia for a program that asks organisations to show their work.

If you would like to see how your own social, environmental and governance reporting could stand up to that kind of scrutiny, book a demo and we will walk you through it.

Is Sustainability the Poor Cousin of the Victorian SPF? Why We Built Catchment

Social procurement advances outcomes for people, sustainable procurement advances outcomes for the environment, and in construction they are usually managed as two separate disciplines. How the Victorian Social Procurement Framework shapes that split, and why Catchment brings social, environmental and governance reporting into one system of record.
